Description
Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England. September 2009.
This bridge crosses the River Tees at Middlesbrough. The unusual design was chosen to allow large ships to have unobstructed access to the river. It works by transporting the yellow "gondola" across the river suspended from cables hanging from the overhead gantry. It is huge, about 260 meters (850 ft) long and 69 m (225 ft) high. This makes it rather difficult to photograph from the riverside, as much of the area is inaccessible.

Camera, Panasonic Lumix FX50, focal length equivalent to 28mm on film.
Constructive criticism welcome.
