Princes Street from Scott Monument.

Princes Street is the main shopping street in the New Town part of Edinburgh, Scotland. This picture was taken from the top of a very windy Scott Monument. It is looking west and was taken mid-morning. Although it was late April, the trees were all still bare because we had had a very cold spring. The classical-style building in the foreground is the Royal Scottish Academy.
