The Millenium Bridge, Newcastle-upon-Tyne / Gateshead, England, October 2009.

This graceful bridge crosses the Tyne between Newcastle to the north and Gateshead to the south. It joins the popular Quayside area to the renovated Gateshead waterfront, which includes the Baltic Art Gallery, seen just to the right of the bridge.

The surface of the river was remarkably calm when this shot was taken, giving a mirror like reflection.
