The Millenium Bridge, Newcastle-upon-Tyne / Gateshead, England, October 2009. This graceful bridge crosses the Tyne between Newcastle to the north and Gateshead to the south. It joins the popular Quayside area to the renovated Gateshead waterfront, which includes the Baltic Art Gallery, seen just to the left of the bridge. The floodlighting changes colour over time. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. It was your comments about the Quayside at night that inspired me to use the change from summer time to GMT to come and take some night photos. There is just one (perhaps two) more to come.
The shoot also inspired me to have a pop at the compact camera industry in my Journal entry. [link]
