Horizontal Statue, Newcastle

This unusual statue is in a street near to the railway station in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. For a long time it was impossible to photograph because it was surrounded by scaffolding as repair work was supposedly being done on the building behind it. As you can see, the background still looks shabby. But at least you can see the statue, which could do with a clean, though.

The work is part of a series called Man with Potential Selves done by Sean Henry in 2003.
