Description
Fountains Abbey from South West, Yorkshire, England.
Fountains Abbey is the remains of a medieval Cistercian Abbey now owned by the National Trust. It is a world heritage site and one of the Trust's most popular attractions. It is located in extensive landscaped grounds called Studley Royal. The abbey was dismantled during the Reformation.
This is the outside of the huge church that the Abbey built, captured from the south west on a fine spring day.
